Description

Aiming for New Heights With Kaons

A virtual mini-workshop exploring paths for the future of kaon physics.

Did you ever dream of having ${\cal O}(10^{15})$ $K_S,\, K_L$, and hyperons? Next-generation kaon experiments are just around the corner, and are expected to reach these unprecedented yields.

Future experiments that will be able to measure multiple decay modes of neutral kaon and hyperon states are being planned internationally. This calls for a wide exploration of the physics case, and the experimental and accelerator challenges involved.

The scientific program plans to cover the following areas

  • Theoretically clean probes of the CKM matrix
  • Rare kaon and Hyperon decays
  • Searches for light NP with kaons
  • Detector challenges
  • Beam challenges

This event is open to anyone who is excited about kaon physics and it is free. We encourage participants to register (see link below) in order to receive relevant emails.
