Do you want to work with other students to design and build windmills, watermills and solar-powered mechanism? Tour a scientist’s laboratory and learn about research being done on renewable energy sources to power the future? Learn about careers and other rewarding opportunities in the field of renewable energy?
Be part of the Summer Science Snapshot! Each day you will do hands-on activities (e.g., games, design challenges, building devices, etc.) to learn about energy and sustainability. It will be an action packed, two-day adventure dedicated to learning about science and engineering and how it impacts your life. We’ll have fun exploring science and engineering in innovative and exciting ways by seeing all that Cornell has to offer! Some days will consist of field trips to around campus, including Beebe Lake’s hydroelectric plant and other locations to learn about we can preserve our environment!!
We would like you, students who will be in 3, 4th and 5th grade next year at Beverly J. Martin Elementary School, to come to Cornell University for two days during the month of August to design, build and learn with us. We are developing some new ideas about how to teach about energy conservation and sustainability; we would really like to know what you think!

In order to enable an iCal export link, your account needs to have an API key created. This key enables other applications to access data from within Indico even when you are neither using nor logged into the Indico system yourself with the link provided. Once created, you can manage your key at any time by going to 'My Profile' and looking under the tab entitled 'HTTP API'. Further information about HTTP API keys can be found in the Indico documentation.
Additionally to having an API key associated with your account, exporting private event information requires the usage of a persistent signature. This enables API URLs which do not expire after a few minutes so while the setting is active, anyone in possession of the link provided can access the information. Due to this, it is extremely important that you keep these links private and for your use only. If you think someone else may have acquired access to a link using this key in the future, you must immediately create a new key pair on the 'My Profile' page under the 'HTTP API' and update the iCalendar links afterwards.
